Dry Erase Thanksgiving Placemats

It was cold and snowy here today so we decided to do a fun craft indoors that will actually be really useful! My son made a laminated placemat in preschool and it was so nice to be able to just wipe it clean with soap and water. I used cookie cutters to make the turkey cutouts but you can really use any shapes. I had B help me glue the turkeys onto the piece of construction paper.
I wrote "I am thankful for…" at the top and then laminated it with contact paper. B has already had so much fun writing what he is thankful for and drawing pictures. Then when they are done just wash them with a wet paper towel and dry them and they come totally clean! This is going to come in so handy while I'm making dinner and need something to keep them busy! ; )
